Former Nigerian lawmaker and social critic, Senator Shehu Sani has said the youths who stoned President Muhammadu Buhari in Kano were not sponsored but motivated by poverty. Some supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress have insinuated that the youths were sponsored but Sani on Tuesday dismissed the notion. Sani, who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th Assembly, said in a tweet on Tuesday, “I don’t believe that anyone sponsored the youths to stone the President.
