Kane County mental health providers, homeless shelters and food pantries will soon receive their share of $4 million the county board set aside from federal COVID-19 relief money.
The data marks the first time information about race, ethnicity and COVID-19 deaths has been made widely available in Kane County, as the nation has grappled with the disproportionate impacts of COVID-19 on Black and Hispanic communities.
