Prithviraj Accident Update: Prithviraj met with an accident and he was injured. Alarmed by this, the film unit immediately admitted him to a private hospital in Kochi. He is being treated there. Ligament injuries in his legs were reported in the accident. Following this, fans are praying for his speedy recovery.
While he turned director in 2005 with the film Kanaa Kanden, it was his 2009 film
Ayan, starring Suriya, which went on to become a huge commercial success, and brought him into the spotlight as a director. Anand then went on to direct films with actors like Suriya, Dhanush, and Vijay Sethupathi as leads.
As a cinematographer, Anand had last collaborated with director Shankar for the Rajinikanth-starrer
Sivaji. Rajinikanth said that he was shocked and saddened to learn about Anand s death, and extended his condolences to Anand s family.
Anand had once said that cinematography and photography were extremely close to his heart. In a past interview to The Hindu, he said “Cinematography and photography is my thing. Direction is a temporary detour in my career.”

Leading director and cinematographer K.V. Anand died early Friday morning in Chennai after a cardiac arrest. He was 54.
“My deepest condolences to KV Anand Sir’s family. Rest In Peace sir,” tweeted music director D Imaan. Added cinematographer-director Santosh Sivan on his Twitter page: “KV Anand RIP god bless.”
And actor Gautham Karthik tweeted: “We’ve lost a wonderful creator. #KVAnand sir may you rest in peace. My condolences to the family.” Music director Harris Jayaraj said on Twitter: “Unfortunate and extremely shock to hear this devastating News. RIP my friend KV Anand.”
