KUALA LUMPUR: There was minimal foot traffic at the flats area in Section 1, Wangsa Maju, as residents complied with the enhanced movement control order that began on Saturday (July 3). A check by StarMetro at noon found that most residents stayed inside their unit, with only a number of e-hailing riders bustling about, delivering orders. Several residents, who declined to be named, said they anticipated a comprehensive lockdown on Block A8 starting Saturday. The message circulated in the residents WhatsApp group since last night. We expected the authorities to start putting up barbed wires around midnight, said a resident. A group of army personnel found at Block A8 said they were waiting for the barbed wire to be delivered to start erecting fences around the block.
