Currently, these colleges are affiliated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) ever since they came into existence. Now, with the formation of Sarvajanik University of SES, these colleges are gradually being disaffiliated by VNSGU as per government guidelines. SMC workers remove big hoardings in Surat on Saturday Surat: Civic officials in Diamond City have started preparing for any exigencies during Cyclone Tauktae which is likely to make a landfall in Saurashtra coast early next week. Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has ordered removal of hoardings and towers from locations where it poses a threat for accidents. Those employees involved in health services were assured Rs 50 lakh compensation, while those in other civic services were assured Rs 25 lakh in case of death by the government. According to the government circular, warriors were assured of being compensated if they lost their lives in the initial six months soon after Covid-19 outbreak in the city. During the peak of the pandemic in the city, the civic body had also cancelled leaves of all its employees. “My 56-year-old father continued to work even in the most risky period.
