Bombay HC grants 45-day parole to jailed gangster Arun Gawli for wife s surgery
The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court has granted 45-day parole to gangster Arun Gawli on the ground of his wife s ill-health.

The Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court (HC) has granted 45-day parole to gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli alias Daddy on the ground of his wife s ill-health. A division bench of Justices ZA Haq and Amit Borkar allowed the parole plea filed by Arun Gawli and directed the jail authorities to release him.

Five inmates of Nagpur Central Prison including gangster Arun Gawli tested positive for coronavirus infection on Wednesday, an official said. Gawli (65) is serving life sentence in the case related to Shiv Sena leader Kamlakar Jamsandekar s murder.
Jail superintendent Anup Kumre said Gawli and four other inmates were found to have contracted the virus, and they are being treated by prison doctors.
Gawli was tested for the viral infection after he took ill on Monday, Kumre said.

NAGPUR: Five inmates of Nagpur Central Prison including gangster Arun Gawli tested positive for coronavirus infection on Wednesday, an official said.
