Our ReporterDimapur, Sep. 29 (EMN): Nagaland Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi on Thursday said education is the key to unlock the golden doors of development and that educated and empowered women are a powerful tool to ensure increased participation in the progress and development of the nation. The Governor was addressing the annual function-cum-31st fresher’s social of Pranabananda Women’s College (PWC), Dimapur held on the theme ‘Knowledge with dignity’ at the college premises. He also quoted late Jawaharlal Nehru who once said, “If you educate a man, you educate an individual, however, if you educate a woman you educate a whole family.” “Women empowered means Mother India empowered,” said Mukhi and lauded the teachers of the college for their efforts in empowering women through quality education and raising their capacity to contribute to society. Mukhi said the admirable academic performance of the college and the increase in enrolment of students currently at 657 with
