LAFC announced on Tuesday that Giorgio Chiellini will remain with the club as a player development coach. The Italian, who retired after the 2023 MLS season, had previously said that he would stay in Los Angeles at least through the summer of 2024 so his children could finish school in the area. Over a glittering 23-year career, Chiellini became known as one of the best defenders of his generation, winning nine Italian Serie A titles with Juventus and the 2020 European Championship with Italy. He moved to LAFC in 2022 and won the Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup.
