For those who lack patience, faith, or just wanted more from their team, it took the Indianapolis Colts a while to get satisfactorily involved in the offseason roster grooming.
When free agency began, they mostly focused on re-signing their own players rather than distributing their ample salary cap space to outside playmakers.
After the draft passed, however, concerns about the major roster holes seemed insignificant as the Colts had finally satisfied their needs.
Now that we re about to enter one of the biggest lulls of the NFL offseason, what does the Colts roster look like now?

Maniac & Crew! A Look At Our Current LB Position Group By BertAlert! on May 4, 2021, 11:51pm EDT +
The (B+) rating is due to a lack of a clear 3rd Linebacker.

This could have been an easy A. Losing Walker doesn t really hurt the team much overall, but it brings in a Question Mark of who will be the MIKE in our base defense. I do not to undervalue or overvalue the loss of Walker, but there is a little risk in elevating players to starters. I would argue that Leonard may be the best if not TOP 3 at least off ball linebackers. He has the WILL covered and is looking for a pay day. I won t go into Leonard since we all know what he has done. The second starter is the reason Walker is not a huge loss. Bobby Okereke has taken over the SAM role. I expect good things from him this year and the improved experience of those two playing more together. It seems that Franklin should get first crack at coveri

POSITION GROUP - DEFENSIVE LINE: Grade (B)
With the potential of a much improve edge rush making us an (A). The pass rush on the ends need to improve to make this a dominant line. Rushing the passer will make each other position group on the defense unit better. This could help out the SECONDARY more than any other.

It is very obvious that Chris Ballard wanted to get younger on the defensive line. We have 0 players over the age of 27. This is a difference from last year and the the players we did not resign. We have (2) players that are age 27, (3) players that are age 26, (4) players that are age 25, (1) player that is 24, (1) player at age 23, (2) players at age 22, and (1) player that is age 21.

Before we get to the picks, I just want to say a huge thank you for all the support this draft season. Every draft cycle is a long journey and I appreciate you all reading all the interviews, big boards, Under-The-Radars, and Build-A-Ballards I put out this offseason.
The Final Mock Draft that I put out each year is my best guess as to what the Colts do on draft day. These selections have nothing to do with my rankings, but are more of an educated guess based on my Chris Ballard profiles in the Build-A-Ballard series and who I think they could be interested in from my conversations with agents throughout the process. Last year, I was able to correctly predict the selections of Michael Pittman Jr and Danny Pinter as well as the Kameron Cline UDFA signing.
The Indianapolis Colts entered the offseason with some big needs.
Quarterback, left tackle, and defensive end chief among them, the Colts have made moves at each recently, although it doesn t completely remove the positions off of the board.
However, there are some other areas the Colts could look to address in the upcoming 2021 NFL Draft or the remaining free-agent pool before the regular season begins, regardless if they re big needs or not.
Backup Quarterback
The Colts acquired their unquestioned starting quarterback in February when they traded for Carson Wentz.
Afterward, their previous backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett departed for greener pastures in free agency for the Miami Dolphins, leaving the Colts with Jacob Eason and Jalen Morton as the lone quarterbacks behind Wentz.
