PETALING JAYA, Feb 13 KSI Strategic Institute economic adviser and political analyst Hoo Ke Ping passed away this morning due to a heart attack.
The veteran political observer died at 9am at his house in Kuala Lumpur.
Pertubuhan Intelektual Negara (Pintar) president Mohd Roslan Mohd Nor in a statement this evening said Hoo’s passing is a major loss for the country.
PETALING JAYA: Ministers and former ministers alike have paid tribute to former Lord President Tun Dr Mohamed Salleh, who passed away early Saturday (Jan 16).
In a statement, PAS information chief Kamaruzaman Mohamad said that the passing of Mohamed Salleh was a huge loss to the country especially in judicial and legal areas. The late Mohamed Salleh once won the Jertih state assembly seat in 1999 and was appointed as an exco member when PAS formed a government in Terengganu. Our deepest condolences to all of Mohamed Salleh s family members, he said.
Subang MP Wong Chen said in a tweet that while he never met Mohamed Salleh, the latter s passing had triggered many personal feelings for him.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21 Echoing the opposition voiced by its wings, PAS today insisted that the Miss/Mrs Plus World Malaysia 2020 is hedonistic and should be barred from taking place next January 2 here where the majority are Malays and Muslims.
PAS information chief Kamaruzaman Mohamad said the Islamist party is joining Muslim evangelical foundation Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (Yadim), and other non-governmental organisations (NGOs), in sending a memorandum to the authorities to protest the pageant.
