Following the intractable gridlock along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, port access roads and Apapa environs, the newly constituted Lagos State Traffic Management Enforcement Team, has announced its readiness to commence impoundment of any heavy-duty vehicles parked indiscriminately along the axis.
Meanwhile, members of various unions at the ports have called on the authority to probe the activities of Shippers Council of Nigeria and a terminal operator, APMT, over the Apapa gridlock.

The newly constituted Traffic Management Enforcement Team, by Lagos State Government, to resolve gridlock in Apapa, and the Nigerian Port Authority Security Team have identified seven holding bays for trucks at various locations around the metropolis for the purpose of decongesting Apapa and environs of gridlock.
The team made the discovery during their first inspection to Apapa to devise a strategy to solve the gridlock issue occasioned by loading trucks and trailers at the port, which have extended to major parts of Lagos.

Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday swore in 18 Permanent Secretaries, consisting of 10 females and eight males.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony at the Lagos House, Ikeja, Sanwo-Olu urged them to put their ideas to work, toward achieving a Greater Lagos.
He congratulated the 18 new Permanent Secretaries, commending them for the contributions they had made to the progress of Lagos State, especially the delivery of excellent Public Service.
According to him, their role as Permanent Secretaries is crucial to the success of the administration.
”You are the drivers of this administration’s T.H.E.M.E.S agenda in our ministries, departments, and agencies, which is why your appointment is purely merit-based.
