The iconic Dairy Keen in Heber City opened their normally closed doors on Sunday to feed search and rescue workers who had been pulling long hours all weekend looking for a missing man.
Heber Valley Hospital, Utah State Parks and Wasatch County Search and Rescue gathered at the Deer Island Creek Resort to raise awareness about water safety prior to the Memorial Day weekend, which usually kicks off swimming and boating season in Utah. They also gave life jackets to community members and talked to them about safety.
Intermountain Healthcare trauma leaders and first responders spoke met Thursday to explain how crucial it is for people to wear life jackets while they re in the water.
