Three injured in separate incidents

Three people were wounded in separate incidents in the city on Thursday. Kalri police said 30-year-old Nadeem, son of Salman, was stabbed with a knife during a clash in Agra Taj Colony in Lyari. He was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi (CKH) for medical treatment.
Police said they were investigating to ascertain what caused the clash. Separately, 35-year-old Mukhtar, son of Yasin, was wounded within the Saeedabad police remits. He was taken to the CHK.
Police said that the incident took place when some persons opened fire at him over unexplained reasons. Meanwhile, Sajid Ali, 25, was injured in firing in the Korangi area. He was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Police said that the incident took place when the man resisted a mugging bid.

Woman found hanged
A woman allegedly committed suicide at her house in Yousuf Goth on Saturday.
According to the Surjani Town police, the body of the woman was transported to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities where she was identified as 33-year-old Rani, wife of Sajjad.
The woman’s in-laws told the police that that she ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan over unexplained reasons. The police said they were investigating the case from different angles.
Separately, the body of a Korean national was found at his house in Lyari’s Khadda Market. The body was transported to the Civil Hospital where he was identified as 62-year-old Chevan. Kalri police SHO Zulfiqar said the man died a natural death.

Karachi courts have been hearing murder, terrorism, kidnapping, and violence cases against Uzair Baloch. He has been accused of committing 198 murders during the Lyari gang war.
He has been acquitted in 14 cases so far on the basis of a lack of evidence. Most of the cases involve crimes committed from 2012 to 2013.
The courts are expected to give their judgments in the 47 remaining cases against him soon.
