PARKERS CHAPEL - Parkers Chapel launched back-to-back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Gurdon 7-6 on Friday. Sophomore Krista Rivers delivered the walk-off solo shot as the Lady Trojans improved to 5-6 with their third win in a row.
RISON - April showers must’ve washed the dust off the bats at Parkers Chapel. The Lady Trojans had their second straight big-hitting performance Wednesday in a 9-6 win at Rison.
Parkers Chapel’s Kallie Martin loves to compete. She begins in August with tennis and goes non-stop all the way through May with softball and track.
Unfortunately, the junior hasn’t been able to maintain the same pep in her step from beginning to end. A hip injury forced her to miss last year’s 2A State Softball Tournament. After competing in just one track meet this season, Martin has been forced to the sideline by a quad injury.
PARKERS CHAPEL - Junction City exploded for 11 runs in the final two innings and beat Parkers Chapel 15-5 in a conference softball showdown on Friday. The Lady Dragons improved to 9-3 overall while the Lady Trojans fell to 3-4.
PARKERS CHAPEL - Parkers Chapel staged a two-out rally in the bottom of the seventh and edged Fordyce 8-7 Tuesday. The Lady Trojans improved to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.
