National award-winning filmmaker Nila Madhab Panda’s first Odia feature film, Kalira Atita, (Yesterday’s Past) has been selected to be screened in the Indian Panorama section of IFFI 2020. The 51st edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa have been postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic. It’ll be held between January 16 and 24 next year.
Panda expressed his happiness and said, “This is my first Odia film and I’m happy that it will start its journey from this prestigious film festival. This is definitely good news for me for this year and I m hopeful that it will bring many more good news for me in the coming years.”

Speaking on the selection Nila Madhab Panda said, “Kalira Atita” is my first Odia film and I am really happy that it will start its journey with the prestigious IFFI. NEW DELHI, Dec 19: Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday announced that 20 non-feature and 23 feature films, including “Saand Ki Aankh” and Sushant Singh Rajput’s “Chhichhore”, will be screened as part of the Indian Panaroma section at the 51st International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
The nine-day film gala, which was previously scheduled to take place in Goa from November 20-28, got postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and will now be held from January 16 to January 24.
