A man being administered vaccine at the Coimbatore Corporation urban primary health centre in Ram Nagar on Monday.
On day one of the Central Government opening COVID-19 vaccination for those over 60 years of age and 45 years of age with medical conditions, 342 persons took the vaccine at the Coimbatore Corporation’s health centres.
Sources said at the eight designated urban primary health centres, 342 persons, most of who were 60-plus, took the vaccine. The Corporation administered the vaccine at no cost at the centres in Peelamedu, Ramanathapuram, Podanur, Gandhipark, Ramnagar (Kalingarayan Street), on Dr. Krishnasamy Road (SLM Home), Thudiyalur and Singanallur.
