The two activities will be allowed only outside the core area of the forest
GUWAHATI: Next time you visit the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve, you will have the the option of a boat ride, or simply riding a bicycle into the wild. However, there is a catch: the two activities will be allowed outside the core area of the forest.
“These will give two additional tourism-related opportunities to the visitors. visitors generally take the jeep or elephant safari, which is conducted on the designated tourist circuit only. But the boat safari is a unique experience as one will get to venture deep into the forest, especially the river bank, which is a perfect spot to sight animals who regularly come there to drink water,” Kaziranga field director P Sivakumar said.
