–The Paso Robles Bearcats dominated the Santa Maria Saints in a 49-7 victory Friday night at War Memorial Stadium. The Bearcats scored two touchdowns in each of the first three quarters and coasted to victory. They held the Saints to only one touchdown in the second quarter. The Bearcats improve to 4-2 overall, 3-2 in the Mountain Conference. They will conclude the spring football season at Atascadero next Friday night.
–The Paso Robles Bearcats beat Arroyo Grande 19-14 at Doug Hitchen Stadium Friday night in the South County. The Bearcats improve to 2-2 for the season, 2-2 in conference.
The Bearcats travel to Templeton next Friday to play the Templeton Eagles. It’s the first game between the two schools since 1924. They played twice that year, and Paso Robles won both games. The Bearcats hope to keep that streak alive Friday night in Templeton. The Tempelton Eagles were shut-out by the St. Joseph Knights 38-0 Friday night in Santa Maria. The Knights stopped the Eagles’ running game, and held them to under 50 yards passing.
After Friday’s game, the Templeton football team lined up to shake hands with the Arroyo Grande team, but the southern Eagles exercised COVID protocol and stood on their sidelines. So the Tempelton team lined up across from them in a show of respect.

–Friday night, the Righetti Warriors beat Paso Robles 34-7 in a game in Santa Maria. Because of COVID-19 infections, the Warriors had to cancel several games. Friday’s game was Righetti’s first this season. The Bearcats host Arroyo Grande Friday night at War Memorial Stadium.
The Templeton Eagles shocked the Arroyo Grande Eagles Friday night at Mike Erb Field in Templeton. The Eagles beat Arroyo Grande 49-12. Coach Don Crow said, “I’m so proud of our team. They did something that this school has never done before. Templeton never beat Arroyo Grande in football. It’s a big feather in their cap.”
