Marauding elephants have invaded farm fields in the Gamboru/Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State. Confirming the development to journalists on Friday, Ayuba Peter, the director of forestry and wildlife in the Borno ministry of environment, stated that the ministry had received reports and was mobilising a team to go to the area. According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Peter explained that the elephants had come from Waza National Park in neighbouring Cameroon Republic.
