Mother Charged With Murder After 10-Year-Old Son Found In Trunk Of Her Car | Talk Radio 105 9

By Bill Galluccio Apr 21, 2021 Authorities in Louisville, Kentucky, arrested a mother accused of murdering her ten-year-old son. Police received a call on Tuesday (April 20) night from a person who claimed they saw a woman who was armed with a gun and what they believed was a dead body wrapped in a blanket. When officers arrived, they found Kaitlyn Higgins, 28, sitting on the front porch and noticed what appeared to be blood and the front steps leading to her house. When the officers searched the trunk of her car, they found the body of her son. She was taken into custody and admitted that she shot him to death after trying to cut out his tongue. Officials did not say what caused Higgins to kill the young boy.

Mother arrested after 10-year-old son found dead in trunk of her car Kaitlyn Higgins, 28, is accused of murdering her 10-year-old son. LMPD said Tuesday that they had launched a death investigation after a juvenile was found dead in the 1200 block of Algonquin Parkway on Tuesday evening. Their arrest reports say someone called them, saying they saw Higgins with a gun and a boy dead wrapped in a blanket. When officers arrived, they found Higgins on the porch and what they believed to be blood on the front steps. The report states that the officers believed exigency existed, prompting them to open the trunk of a vehicle that Higgins said was hers which is where they found the dead child with a gunshot wound.
