The Mid-Prairie boys are 1-0 on the season after a 3-0 shut out win over Mediapolis Tuesday in which Zeus Fugate scored twice and Owen Trimpe once in the victory while Keaton Graber turned in a clean sheet in goal with four saves.
This is the season opener for the Monticello boys. The Panthers were 5-10 in 2019. They do not have a player on the roster who has scored a varsity goal but do return keeper Alex Fagan for his senior year. As a sophomore he played 980 minutes, making 172 saves, working out to an 83.5% save percentage. Mid-Prairie is 7-0 all-time against Monticello, including a 4-3 win over the Panthers in 2019.
