There’s even a possibility heavy rain will reach warning criteria on Tuesday in eastern parts of Northland, northeastern Auckland, Coromandel Peninsula, Gisborne and the Wairoa district. But for now MetService has just low confidence that will happen. On Thursday evening, MetService was forecasting easterlies and rain for Northland on Monday and Tuesday, with showers on Wednesday.
