Jami Ortiz, Bailey Stocking, Kaiser Permanente

Jami Ortiz, Bailey Stocking, Kaiser Permanente Updated 1:00 PM; These two were our environmental services staff on Kaiser Westside’s COVID unit. They were an integral part of our COVID team but I feel they don’t get enough credit. As a nurse on this unit I depend on them for infection control, cleaning, and linen supply. These two ladies had a positive attitude throughout the time this unit was open. Our nursing staff rotated between the COVID unit and the regular ICU but when the decision was made to turn our 2nd floor into the dedicated COVID unit these two ladies continued on their assigned floor. During some of our hardest days, seeing these two come on the unit with a big smile and start doing their tasks changed the vibe for the better. I want them to know how appreciated they are and how important their work is.
