The east-bound crawler lane for slow vehicles on State Highway 29, on the western slopes of the Kaimai Range, will be the scene of major roadworks later in January.
Motorists travelling over the Kaimai Range from the Waikato to the Bay of Plenty will have plenty of roadworks to contend with later this month. Waka Kotahi have announced major road reconstruction works on State Highway 29, on the western side of the ranges, will recommence on Sunday, January 17. The works will start with the reconstruction of a section of the east-bound crawler (slow vehicles) lane on the ranges’ lower slopes, between the SH29/SH28 intersection and the Swap Kaimai Farm entrance.
