News Nathan Sutton Premium Content BUNDABERG OFFSHORE For the anglers that got out in the good weather window that we had, there was some nice fish caught such as coral trout, red emperor, tusk fish and red throat emperor. Anglers have been using a range of baits but the mullet fillet has been the stand out for most anglers. They have also been using a wide range of lures and slow fall jigs to get the job done. The Samaki Ribcage Slow Fall Jig and the Zerek prawn rigged on a Mustad 7/0 21 to 24 gram is doing the damage.

Nathan Sutton with a Barra he caught recently. News Shane Anderson Premium Content BUNDABERG INSHORE With the cyclone up north and the torrential rain it has produced, the coastal areas are not looking very good to get offshore from Bundaberg this weekend. It may be time to do a bit of maintenance on the trailer and a chance to re-wire the boat. Always check the weather forecast before heading out. BURNETT RIVER We have had good reports of decent sized bucks being caught. With the warmer weather still hanging around, barramundi and mangrove jacks are still very lively. Best baits to use are live poddy mullets or sprat for the jacks.
