The Fowler House predates much of the already historic late-19th century architecture that gives Port Townsend its nostalgic charm. Circa 1865, the 4,088 square-foot home is a rare example of a Civil War era building, originally designed in Greek Revival style, and well preserved to honor its history.
The residence was home to Captain Enoch S. Fowler, who was born in Maine. The Fowler House was built with lines similar to the Northeastern domiciles the Captain had known there. The property also offers gorgeous water views, something the Captain no doubt appreciated.
