Ten persons kidnapped at the Federal Airport Authority Staff Quarters in the Igabi Local Government Area of the state by bandits have been rescued by the Nigerian Army.
The FAAN quarters is close to Kaduna International Airport.

Samuel Aruwan, the state commissioner of internal security and home affairs, who confirmed the incident, said the bandits also attempted to attack a senior staff quarters around Kaduna International Airport.
Aruwan said the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday.
He said a head count had been done and all 307 students of the school are safe.

“Between the late hours of Saturday night and the early hours of today, suspected bandits stormed the Government Science Secondary School, Ikara, Ikara local government area, in an attempt to kidnap students,” Aruwan said.
“Fortunately, the students utilized the security warning system in place, and were thus able to alert security forces in the area. The security forces comprising the troops of the Nigerian Army, Police and some security volunteers moved swiftly to the school and engaged the bandits, forcing them to flee.

Troops of the Nigerian Army have foiled another attempt by bandits to abduct students at Government Science Secondary school in the Ikara Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in the state, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed this on Sunday during a press conference in Kaduna.
He said the bandits invaded the school in the late hours of Saturday and attempted to abduct the students before the arrival of soldiers who engaged the criminals in a gun battle.
Aruwan said that the students utilised the security warning system in place, and were able to alert security forces in the area that moved swiftly to the school and engaged the bandits, forcing them to flee.
At least 12 people have been kidnapped by bandits following an attack on the Junior Staff Quarters of the Kaduna International Airport.
The incident occurred on Saturday, but the police authorities in the state have yet to confirm the attack.
One of the victims, who is a member of staff of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), was kidnapped along with his wife, five children, and three other persons who had visited them.
Elsewhere, the wife and child of an employee of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) were also kidnapped during the attack.
The Regional Manager of NIMET in the North Central, Sani Majidadi, confirmed the attack to
