The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons’ season came to an end Wednesday night when a second half surge pushed the Southern Boone Lady Eagles to a 56-47 victory in the semifinals of the Class 4 District 9 Tournament at Blair Oaks.
Not much was going right in the first half Monday night for the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons, with two exceptions: Emma Wolken and rebounding. Wolken scored 16 of her career-high 24 points in the first half, while the Lady Falcons outrebounded the Versailles Lady Tigers 27-12 in the first 16 minutes. Blair Oaks was able to overcome an 11-point deficit for a 56-45 victory in Tri-County Conference play.

The Boonville Lady Pirates held Blair Oaks to just 16 points in the second and third quarters combined, rallying for a 70-67 win in Tri-County Conference play.

Hermann led wire to wire in the first half, then Blair Oaks and Mallorie Fick took over. Fick led the Lady Falcons with 25 points to help lead Blair Oaks to a 63-44 win Tuesday against the Lady Bearcats. It was the Lady Falcons’ home opener and their first game inside the new Blair Oaks gym.
