73 trees being translocated in Varanasi for ICC project
The total estimated cost of the project is around Rs 400 crore and the government will not spend money from its own exchequer as the project is based on the PPP model.
Varanasi: Translocation of 73 fully grown trees in Varanasi is being carried out for the first time to make way for the 19-storey twin buildings of the proposed Integrated Commissioner Complex (ICC) project.
Divisional Commissioner, Deepak Agrawal said: The foundation stone of the ICC project worth Rs 400 crore, to be set up on a public private partnership model, will be laid in September, and the administration has set a target to complete the entire paper work as well as the process of floating of RFP by August end.
