Nasarawa State Governor, Mr. Abdullahi Sule, has raised the alarm over the regrouping of Boko Haram members in three local government areas of the state.
He listed the LGAs as Wamba, Nasarawa and Karu, which share boundaries with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Sule, in his opening speech yesterday during an expanded Security Council meeting in Lafia, said: “One of the reasons for calling the meeting is because of the security concern around the country and indeed around the state. From what we have seen so far, there are renewed activities of these dislodged bandits, we have these bandits that are in Utu in Toto LGA that were recently dislodged.

As the political noose continues to tighten around Buganda’s neck, Mr Gawaya Tegulle joins scores of other ‘genuine’ observers who have long tasked the establishment at Mengo, Buganda’s chief administrative seat, to play with a full deck in so far as the resolution of the Buganda question is concerned.
The full rather than piecemeal settlement of this complex and multifaceted question, it is hoped, will go a long way in not only averting the rather imminent disaster that might befall Uganda once more, but also set the country on a steady path of meaningful peace, stability, development, prosperity and cohesion, among her ethnically and religiously diverse peoples.

During the run up to the 2021 elections, presidential candidates turned Bulange, the headquarters of the Kingdom of Buganda, into a place of pilgrimage. The candidates wanted to assure the leaders at Mengo that they have their interests at heart.
Many bought certificates as a sign of allegiance and promised that they respect the institution of the Kabaka. No other institution did the candidates visit as much as the Kingdom of Buganda.
Although President Yoweri Museveni didn’t attend, he was represented by his party leaders.
Other presidential candidates though had requested to visit Bulange, it was too late in the campaign to do so.
