dakota, north dakota, montana, wyoming. this is the bread basket of america. these are the people that supply essentials to us, not just food but energy. and we need a policy that s very supportive of not just in time food supplies, we just went through a pandemic. we need in case food supplies, just in case energy. we have to fill up the reserves. this seems a little off message to me. i mean, it it doesn t i look at when policy is in sync with politics you get results. this is out of sync with everything. this is a bad strategy right now, and i do not, and nor does anybody else that pays taxes, want to see crisis in food supplies. we are already in a critical condition with inflation. i can t imagine i bet if he could walk this back and erase this tape he would do it. sandra: i can t imagine a time people are paying so much more for basics like eggs and milk and bread that they are going to that this is going
republican nominee and vice president nominee in front of a debt clock campaigning. but that went out the window when it just seemed like spending was not the issue that people thought it was going to be politically. now i would argue that a candidate who touches this, it is not the third rail because people start to get it. if we are paying as much interest on the national debt as we are for defense spending, which is what s happening now, interest, just interest, eventually it s untenable. sandra: the taxpayer and the american family is on the hook, and back to the historic inflation we have been living through, people do get it. i want to ask you about manhattan d.a. alvin bragg and obviously the scrutiny of his prosecution decisions. these are convictions dropping under bragg, and they are plunging. convictions are cratering, felony cases resulting in convictions, they have dropped to 51% from 68% a few years ago. the felony cases that he s
we need it. but it s not enough just to fill up the reserves. we do not have enough refineries. the last one we built, louisiana, 1977, old technology. time to get off our duffs and this is bipartisan, and do what the chinese are doing. they are building $14 billion refineries. they are making sure they never have an energy problem and saw what happened in europe, we are watching it too. we have got to not just solve the reserves, we have to solve for actually refining what we need for energy. 100%. we have to get this done in the next 36 months. sandra: it is still painful prices when it comes to gas, the average price of a gallon of gasoline, 3.54 a gallon. much higher than when the president took office and we ll see what happens next with all this. kevin, great to have you here today, thank you. john. john: sandra, potential breakthrough in the treatment of parkinson s disease. it comes as actor and philanthropist michael j. fox stars in a new documentary
