Imphal, Apr 19 (PTI) Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Friday urged people to cast their votes to save indigenous people of the state and protect its territorial integrity.
Polling in Manipur witnessed violence as miscreants fire near a polling booth causing panic among voters. Chief Minister Biren Singh on Friday morning urged people to vote for BJP candidates to support Modi for a third term.
Even the MLAs of 20 assembly segments in the Eastern Nagaland did not turn up to vote. There are over 738 polling stations in the six districts of Eastern Nagaland.
“I hope both Th Basanta Singh of the BJP for Inner and K Timothy Zimik of NPF for Outer Manipur will win and support the formation of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre," CM Biren said.
