Dublin-based carrier ASL Holdings has exercised options to acquire an additional 10 Boeing 737 freighter jets.
The converted freighter order is on top of 10 firm orders for converted freighters that the Irish company placed with Boeing at the Paris Air Show in 2019.
The first of the 737-800 converted freighters was delivered to ASL last month and entered service in France. The second has gone to ASL’s joint venture airline, K-Mile Asia, and is expected to enter service in April, based in Bangkok.
ASL Aviation chief executive Dave Andrew said the converted freighters it has ordered offer an “excellent option” for the company’s express cargo customers.
