The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has battered India’s healthcare system. Choked hospitals are turning away patients and the shortage of oxygen has led to hundreds of deaths across the country.
The worst hit are the underprivileged who have been struck by a triple whammy: lack of resources, connections, and access to medical equipment.

Rekha Kulal’s objective is to shore up the admission rate at Nuliggere Higher Primary School in Hosanagar, about 80km from Udupi, and ensure that once her underprivileged students complete Class X, they have something to fall back on for the rest of their education journey.

Synopsis
Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India has a ten-member team led by the Chairman alongside five Whole Time Members and four Part Time Members, which are being filled by the government.
The current Whole Time Member (Finance and Investment) Pravin Kutumbe assumed charge on March 12, 2018.
The finance ministry has invited applications for the post of a Whole Time Member (Finance and Investment) at insurance regulator Irdai. The applicant should preferably have at least 25 years experience in the area of finance and investment, with a minimum of three years experience at a senior level, Department of Financial Services said in an advertisement.
