Researchers at Dibrugarh University rediscovered two new freshwater mussel genera, Pseudoscabies and Assamnaia, in the Brahmaputra river basin in Assam. The rediscovery of the genus Assamnaia after over a century reaffirms the richness of biodiversity in Assam.
