Punch Newspapers Sections Published 23 January 2021 Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2020 released the New World Translation (Bible) in the American Sign Language and 32 other languages. The group said it is the most in any year since the first translation was released in 1950 and as of December 31, 2020, the New World Translation has been published in 195 languages. Geoffrey Jackson, a member of the governing body of Jehovah’s Witnesses while speaking at the Witnesses’ release event in Florida, United States, explained that one of the many milestones in their 2020 translation work was reached on February 15, when they completed the Bible in the American Sign Language.
