WASHINGTON, D.C. Elkins native Donald Lambert received the American Legion Spirit of Service award for the National Guard in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 21 at the Renaissance Hotel.
Lambert served as the youngest Post Commander in the history of the American Legion Post No. 29 in Elkins.
He is a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 2014 and is also a 2018 graduate of Glenville State College with a degree in history and political science.
