(WXYZ) â Meijer s new Rivertown Market coming to Detroit is looking for hyperlocal products to sell at the store when it opens later this year.
Marcus Reliford, the store manager of the Meijer Rivertown Market on Jefferson, is aiming to get 2,000 local products inside the store. Local businesses can submit their offerings for consideration to be sold in the store by clicking here.
âWe want to help local businesses succeed. We want to showcase all Detroit has to offer and believe Rivertown Market is place to do it.â Reliford said in a release.

Officials with Meijer s new Rivertown Market in Detroit are working overtime to ensure the store has a decidedly local flavor.
Meijer on Monday announced that the store, the retailer s fourth small-format location planned for 1475 E. Jefferson Ave., is searching for hyperlocal products to fill shelves when the store opens later this year.
Store manager and Detroit resident Marcus Reliford has set a goal of adding 2,000 local products to the store s inventory. Local businesses are invited to submit products for consideration, Reliford said in a statement.
