voted to remove jones, and another man named justin pearson, he s the man on the right. for minor rules violation, so-called, decorum violations. stemming from a protest that they led on gun reform, notably, the legislature did not remove a third lawmaker, the woman in the middle of the screen, wh helped lead the protest, a woman named gloria johnson, wh unlike the to justin s, on her side, is white and this was just the latest example of republica anti-democratic overreach, especially in the tennesse state house. despite republican attempts to paint the gun protest, which was a vocal, nonviolent protest, as an insurrection, framin that is completely disconnecte from the facts, it is clear, their actual goal was to silence their critics, to shut down all the second voices i what is ostensible democracy, state legislature. but there is a way for tennessee democrats to fight back, you see, it s up to loca commissions and councils t fill vacant positions in the tennessee house. and since
