TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Catcher Colton Vincent tied a career-high with three hits and had four RBI, while Wyatt Crowell pitched 5.2 innings in relief as Florida State (8-3) beat FGCU (10-2) 14-8 Sunday at Dick Howser Stadium.
Crowell’s 5.2 innings were a career high, and his seven strikeouts also tied a career best. Doug Kirkland allowed one inherited runner to score in the ninth inning.
Vincent increased his hitting streak to 15 games, the longest for a Seminole since 2018. He was 3-for-3 with four RBI, the final three of which came on a bases-clearing double in the eighth inning and capped the Seminole scoring. During his hitting streak, Vincent is hitting 22-for-53 and he leads FSU with a .421 batting average this season.
