Ethereum is about to see a network adjustment that will introduce a new base fee feature on the blockchain.
EIP-1559 will change the way that transactions get processed on the network with added certainty.
A model estimates that around 1,000 ETH would be issued per day, while 6,000 tokens would be burned.
The second-largest blockchain network in the world, Ethereum, is expecting to witness its London hard fork on August 4 that would change the way that transactions are processed. Its native token, Ether, would also see a reduction in supply, which could see a spike in ETH price.

EIP 1559 is one of the most highly anticipated protocols since it will introduce a “base fee” in blocks mined on the ETH 1.0 network. The gas price that the Ethereum network accepts will be based on the demand, and it will be easier for users to estimate the right fee for their transaction.
Additionally, EIP-1559 allows users to specify the maximum fee they are willing to pay and the amount they are willing to send to the miner. If there is a difference between the maximum and the actual fee, the user gets a refund.

Vitalik Buterin, a co-founder of Ethereum, has recently released a “quick merge via fork choice change,” which would allow Ethereum to abandon mining operations soon.
The merge refers to Serenity from Phase 1.5 to Ethereum 2.0, marking the network’s move to proof-of-stake. In the current Ethereum 2.0 roadmap, Phase 1 is scheduled to launch next, which includes sharding, which would increase its efficiency as 64 new chains will be added to the network.
