The plea also sought direction to the state government to modify the list of eligible schools displayed on state’s “RTE 25 % Admission portal” to include all private, unaided schools so that the parents can apply for their children's admission for academic year 2024-25.
The court, while rejecting the petitions, noted that DTEPA has considered relevant aspects for granting approvals for the project with a proposed cost of Rs 76,220 crore.
The Bombay High Court had on April 5 disposed of the plea by the forum against notices issued by the Thane Collector seeking information of staff from schools for the Lok Sabha elections duty.
