Jagan Mohan Reddy with the judiciary took a curious turn when the AP High Court Judge Justice J. Rakesh Kumar Wednesday raised serious questions on transparency in the Supreme Court’s Collegium transfers. On December 14 the SC’s Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India S.A. Bobde shifted AP High Court Chief Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheswari to Sikkim High Court and Telangana High Court Chief Justice R. Chouhan to Uttarakhand High Court at a time when they were hearing cases pending against Jagan Reddy.

Jagan Mohan Reddy. Large number of farmers gathered on Seed Access road when Rakesh Kumar was returning from the High Court and bid adieu to him with folded hands. They thanked him for standing by the farmers of Amaravati region fighting against the proposal to trifurcate the state capital.

Auction Of Govt Land Case Adjourned, Pending Recuse Petition Dec 22, 2020, 16:04 IST AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh Government on Monday stated that a petition seeking the withdrawal  of Justice Rakesh Kumar from the ongoing litigation challenging the government s decision to sell government assets through auction was justifiable. The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday began hearing a petition opposing the sale of government land under the ‘Mission Build AP’ scheme. The bench of Justice Rakesh Kumar and Justice J Uma Devi posted the case to January 28 for further hearing. Justice Rakesh Kumar said the HC cannot hear the arguments as the Recuse petition is pending with the bench. Responding to the Recuse petition filed by the state government, he said he is bothered only about the system and justice.
