Appeals court keeps San Antonio s paid sick leave ordinance on hold

Thursday marks the 20th business day since the Texas Organizing Project filed a petition with the city clerk calling for a public vote on mandatory paid sick leave in San Antonio. The clerk has informed the organization that her team won t be able to meet the deadline but hasn t said how much longer the process will take. The concern is that the process might take so long that the issue doesn t make the deadline for calling a November election.
