KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here has acquitted and discharged both former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and former 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) CEO Arul Kanda Kandasamy in the 1MDB audit tampering trial on Friday (March 3).
Najib, who is serving a 12-year prison sentence for his graft conviction in 2022, was acquitted by the Kuala Lumpur High Court on charges of abusing his power by tampering with an audit on the scandal-ridden sovereign wealth fund in 2016.
