Indoor hospitality to reopen on Monday as Covid-19 cases could climb to 4,000 a day, Tanaiste Leo Varadkar says

THE reopening of indoor hospitality will go ahead on Monday despite Ireland facing up to 4,000 new Covid-19 cases per day in a matter of weeks due to the Delta variant.
Any further lifting of pandemic restrictions such as the increase of wedding capacity to 100 has been put on ice due to fears about the growing fourth wave.

Gardaí have seized more than 5,000 vehicles after stopping people who had already been disqualified from driving in the past three years.
Details released by Justice Minister Heather Humphreys show that gardaí confiscated 2,065 vehicles last year alone from people who were driving while disqualified.

A DATA EXPERT has warned that the Department of Children may be at odds with EU regulations if it does not directly give survivors of Mother and Baby Homes copies of their medical records.
