A Sudbury man who beat up and threatened to shoot a fellow homeless man at a temporary homeless shelter and also threatened to kill an employee of a downtown business has pleaded guilty to nine charges.
The charges against Kenneth Holmes, 26, stemmed from incidents in Sudbury and the Espanola area that occurred from early April 2018 to Sept. 25 of last year.

A Sudbury man who sped away from a Lockerby-area home after arguing with people there and was reported to Greater Sudbury Police as a possible impaired driver has been fined $1,000.
Maximillian Korte, 25, who was facing an impaired charge, pleaded guilty in the Ontario Court of Justice via teleconference Thursday to the lesser charge of careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
