The National Judicial Council (NJC) has been petitioned by the Open Justice Alliance (OJA), a coalition of four civil societies, to probe Justices Monica Dongban-Mensem, Oluwayemisi Wimmiams-Dawodu, Abdulaziz Waziri, and Okon Abang, who are Justices of the Court of Appeal. The petition accused the Appeal Court judges, who presided over the Plateau State governorship and House of Assembly elections, of “gross abuse of the Revised Judicial Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2016.”
