Ilorin, Feb. 27, 2021 Gov. Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has inaugurated a special probe panel to investigate the remote and immediate causes of the Gana/Ganmo chieftaincy tussle, and make recommendations on peaceful resolution of the crisis.
AbdulRazaq was represented at the
inauguration on Saturday in Ilorin by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Alabere.
The governor charged members of the panel to carry out the assignment with all the seriousness it deserved.
He disclosed that the chieftaincy tussle had been lingering between the two communities for over a decade, adding that as a responsive government it is necessary to look into the issues surrounding the conflict with a view to finding lasting solution to it.
