Judiciary, Legislative autonomy critical to Nigeria’s democratic process Tambuwal  On By Rotimi Ojomoyela – Ado-Ekiti As against the belief in some quarters that Nigeria’s governors where the one stalling the autonomy of judiciary and legislative arm of government, Governor of Sokoto state, Rt. Hon Aminu Tambuwal, on Thursday declared that the autonomy of the two arms are critical to the sustenance of the country’s democratic process. Tambuwal added that some of the conflicting areas of the Executive Order 10 which mandated the implementation of judiciary and legislative autonomy across states of the Federation, were being addressed. Hon Tambuwal, who stated this in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, disclosed that Nigerian Governors have reached a consensus to set up an implementation structure to grant the judiciary power to manage its capital and recurrent expenditure in line with constitutional provisions.

Ekiti CJ introduces new Judge to bench - Daily Post Nigeria

Justice Ayodeji Daramola on Thursday in Ado Ekiti formally introduced the newly appointed Judge, Justice Adeniyi Familoni to the bar and bench according to the Judicial tradition.
